Pierre-Yves Hodique
"Future" collection, Chamber music
After secondary studies culminating in a scientific Baccalauréat obtained with distinction (mention très bien) and a Bachelor’s degree in musicology from the Sorbonne, Pierre-Yves Hodique was admitted by unanimous decision of the jury to the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris (CNSMDP), where he was awarded top honours in piano, chamber music and vocal accompaniment in the classes of Jean-François Heisser, Claire Désert and Anne Le Bozec. In the course of his training he also studied with Marie-Josèphe Jude, Daria Hovora, Bertrand Chamayou, Denis Pascal and Yann Ollivo.
In 2011 he won the prize for best piano accompanist at the Tchaikovsky International Cello Competition in Moscow, followed in 2013 by the Noël Lee Lieder Prize at the Nadia and Lili Boulanger International Voice and Piano Competition for his duo with the baritone Samuel Hasselhorn.
Pierre-Yves Hodique is the regular recital partner of the cellist Edgar Moreau, and has appeared notably at the Mariinsky Theatre in St Petersburg, the Kammermusiksaal of the Berlin Philharmonie, the Dortmund Konzerthaus, the KKL in Lucerne, the Muziekgebouw in Amsterdam, the Brussels Royal Conservatory, the Teatro di Ferrara, the Fazioli Hall in Sacile, the Sommets Musicaux de Gstaad, La Folle Journée in Nantes and Japan, the Festival de Saint-Denis, Les Flâneries Musicales de Reims, the Festival de Radio France et de Montpellier, the Nohant and Menton festivals, the Festival du Périgord Noir, the Cité de la Musique and the Auditorium du Louvre in Paris, the Grand Théâtre de Provence and Les Musicales de Bagatelle.
He has been awarded scholarships by the Fondation d’Entreprise Banque Populaire, the Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe, the Fondation Meyer and the Fonds de Tarrazi, and has won the Prix Oriolis, the Prix Drouet-Bourgeois of the Fondation de France and the Bourse des Amis du Royaume de la Musique. In 2014 his duo recital recording with Edgar Moreau on Erato received the Diapason d’Or Découverte and the Classique d’Or RTL.
