Alix Verzier studied cello in Lyon with Patrick Gabard, then in Paris with Christophe Coin at the CNSMDP. She also plays the viola da gamba.
Since 1991, the year of her first prize, she has been a member of the ensemble Les Arts Florissants, directed by William Christie. She has been a member of Emmanuel Krivine’s La Chambre Philharmonique, and has given numerous concerts with Christophe Coin’s Ensemble baroque de Limoges as well as with Christophe Rousset’s Les Talens lyriques, Jordi Savall’s Le Concert des Nations… She is a member of the Arcinto Quartet and plays in trio with Jérôme Hantaï and Alessandro Moccia.
