Trio Les Esprits
Chamber music
Since they first met, a true musical friendship develops between the pianist Adam Laloum, the violinist Yang Mi-sa and the cellist Victor Julien- Laferrière.
This complicity was confirmed during their first concert in February 2009. They decided in 2012 to form the Trio les Esprits.
In parallel to a sustained individual activity, Adam Laloum 1st Prize of the Clara Haskil Competition, Victor Julien-Laferrière 1st Prize of the Queen Elisabeth Competition and Mi-sa Yang 1st Prize of the Yehudi Menuhin Competition have always developed the practice of chamber music. All three followed the chamber music class of Vladimir Mendelssohn at the CNSM de Paris.
They have since then the opportunity to perform concerts at the Théâtre des Champs Elysées, Folles Journées de Nantes, Tokyo, Théâtre de la Criée in Marseille, Festival Mecklenburg- Vorpommern, Festival de Menton, Festival de Deauville, Conservatoire d’Art Dramatique de Paris, Zermatt, Musée de la Vie Romantique, Festival de l’Épau, Festival des Pianissimes, etc.
The first recording of the Trio les Esprits was released in 2014 for the label Mirare and is dedicated to Beethoven Trio No. 6 and Schumann No. 3 for which The Strad said : “This captivating performance recreates the tantalising sensation of a composer barely managing to rein in his creative imagination, which is the very essence of late Schumann.”
The Trio les Esprits is in residence at the Polignac Singer-Polignac since July 2012.
