David Kadouch

Born in 1985, David Kadouch trained with Odile Poisson at the Conservatoire National de Région in Nice, Jacques Rouvier at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris and Dmitri Bashkirov at the Escuela Reina Sofía in Madrid, and received further guidance from Murray Perahia, Maurizio Pollini, Maria João Pires, Daniel Barenboim, Vitaly Margulis, Itzhak Perlman, Elisso Virsaladze and Emanuel Krasovsky.

David Kadouch has been invited to appear at numerous festivals, including the Lucerne Contemporary Music Festival under the direction of Pierre Boulez, Klavier-Festival Ruhr, the Gstaad, Montreux, Verbier, Jerusalem, Aix-en-Provence, Colmar, Deauville, La Roque d’Anthéron, Montpellier and Saint-Denis festivals, Piano aux Jacobins in Toulouse, and La Folle Journée in Nantes and in China. He regularly performs chamber music with his partners Renaud and Gautier Capuçon, Edgar Moreau, Nikolaj Znaider, Antoine Tamestit, Frans Helmerson, Sol Gabetta, Patricia Kopatchinskaja and Michel Dalberto, as well as the Ebène, Modigliani, Quiroga and Ardeo quartets. He is also a soloist with any orchestras and gives numerous solo recitals in Europe and around the world.

David Kadouch has recorded Beethoven’s Fifth Concerto (Naxos), the complete Shostakovich Preludes (TransartLive), a Schumann disc with the Quatuor Ardeo (Decca/ Universal), an album of Russian music and a recital of works by Bach, Janáček, Schumann and Bartók (Mirare) as well as a duo recital with Edgar Moreau featuring works by Franck, Strohl, Poulenc and La Tombelle (Warner – Erato). His disc Révolution, released on Mirare in September 2019, was widely praised by the critics (“David Kadouch is one of the dazzling stars among French pianists”) and hailed with a ‘Choc of the Year’ by the French monthly music magazine Classica.
